The onset of winter and the lower temperatures place greater demands on the use and maintenance of trucks. Proper maintenance of trucks is essential to ensure transport efficiency and vehicle safety.

Recently, we interviewed several of the company's experienced truck drivers and maintenance engineers, who shared key steps and considerations for winter truck maintenance.
1.Cooling system check
With low temperatures in winter, the cooling system is vital to the normal operation of the truck. We interviewed our company's Engineer Xiao, who said, "We must check the coolant stock in winter, and if the coolant is insufficient, it should be replenished in time, and regular replacement of coolant can avoid icing problems and extend the service life of the cooling system." At the same time, Engineer Xiao mentioned that he will clean and replace the coolers and radiators of the company's trucks before winter comes every year to ensure that they are used.

2.Tyre inspection and adjustment
The friction coefficient of the ice and snow road is reduced in winter, the grip of the tyre becomes especially important. This point of our company's Engineer Yuan said, "the winter replacement of tyres of the freight drivers are more, the general long-distance freight running a year of trucks, tyre wear and tear is too large, the winter will check the tyre wear and tear, timely replacement of worn-out tyres, to ensure driving safety." At the same time, Engineer Yuan reminded the ice and snow road driving, avoid sharp braking and rapid acceleration.

3.Lubrication system maintenance
Winter temperatures are low and lubricants tend to solidify. Changing winter-specific lubricants on a regular basis can help your engine work properly. In addition, cleaning the carbon build-up inside the engine can keep the engine performing well even at low temperatures. Most experienced drivers will warm up their truck for 20 minutes to 30 minutes before driving.

4.Battery maintenance
Battery power and life may be affected by low temperatures in winter. Please check the battery level regularly and charge it promptly if it is low. At the same time, keep the battery dry so that moisture will not affect its performance. On rainy or snowy days, try to choose a dry place such as a garage or warehouse to park your car after use.

5.Truck lights and brake system inspection
Higher visibility is needed on icy roads in winter, and making sure your headlights are working properly can improve driving safety at night and when visibility is low." Winter, especially after snow, the lights are easy to ice, must use cold water to melt ice, do not use hot water, hot water will make the lights broken." Engineer Gao said, and secondly, Engineer Gao said, brake pads we will be replaced after winter to ensure driving safety.

6.In-car equipment inspection and cleaning
In addition to the maintenance of the appearance of the truck, the inspection and cleaning of the equipment inside the truck is equally important. Engineer Liu said: "Whether it's winter or summer, drivers need a comfortable environment with a comfortable temperature when working inside the vehicle, so whether the air-conditioning is functioning properly and whether the filters are clean, all of these will affect the driver's work, so be sure to check them carefully." Also, clean the inside of the cabin, especially if the driver is checking around the pedals and not leaving anything behind.
